Various new features are added to the machine to enhance its performance.

1) For the longitudinal movement of the cutter blade along with cutter holder, T-slot arrangement is provided. This is also provided to cut the paper's total length tube into required pieces of varied lengths..

2) Nylon sleeve is provided in order to offer cutter blade touching to the mandrel surface which rotates along the paper tube by gripping it. Apart from PVC pipe, nylon sleeve can also be used.

3) Being a semiautomatic machine, pneumatic means are used to fed cutter blade; one thing which is manually done is the unloading and only loading of the paper tube.

4) A provision is made to move the cutter blade independent and individual from each other. This lets for comparatively longer usage of the same cutter blade unless it is so worn that the regrinding is not further possible. This helps in compensating different wear rates of varied cutter blades (if they are fitted on the identical member)

5) A completely modern and innovative design which is the base of fabrication of all the parts.

6) Frame of the machine is designed for buckling and strength.

7) Analytical calculation is done to design the mandrel and allied components and then evaluated by the ansys software to compare.

8) MATLAB software is used to plot bending moment diagrams.
